Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website operators. Local storage is a similar technology that allows websites to store data in your browser.
2. How PaymentPulse Uses Cookies
PaymentPulse uses only strictly necessary cookies and local storage. We do not use any tracking, analytics, advertising, or third-party cookies.
3. Cookies & Storage We Use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| token | Local Storage | Authentication — stores your JWT session token to keep you logged in | Until logout |
| tax-disclaimer-ack-* | Local Storage | Remembers that you acknowledged the tax estimate disclaimer. The * represents your user ID, so each user has their own acknowledgment tracked separately. | 30 days |
4. Why No Cookie Consent Banner
Under the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC, as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC), transposed into Romanian law by Law 506/2004, consent is not required for cookies and storage that are strictly necessary for the service you requested. Since PaymentPulse only uses essential authentication storage, no cookie consent banner is required.
5. Third-Party Cookies
PaymentPulse does not set or allow any third-party cookies. Our third-party integrations (Stripe, Plaid) may set their own cookies during their respective checkout or connection flows, which are governed by their own cookie policies.
6. Managing Cookies
You can clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings at any time. Note that clearing your authentication token will log you out of PaymentPulse.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we ever introduce additional cookies (e.g., for analytics), we will update this policy and implement a cookie consent mechanism as required by law.
